Swipe up to reveal an answer, then left or right depending on whether you knew it. Normal mode supports reading and listening practice; Walking mode focuses on listening. Voice prompts and gesture controls make it possible to study while using earphones.

Available content included Spanish, Japanese and Chinese vocabulary and sentences, French, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Romanian, English for Chinese speakers, plus capital cities, multiplication tables, plant names, and more.

Dictionary Apps

An interactive experience of information on a variety of topics, with a fast and smart interface.

The Dictionary Apps used a graphics-focused interface for exploring niche topics, including Plants, Birds, and Toys. Users could swipe smoothly between annotated pages, search for a specific entry, and reveal further detail before following through to the relevant Wikipedia page.

Information was stored locally for fast offline access. A companion Mac / Windows tool used the Wikipedia API to collect abstracts and images, making it possible to create a new app with unique content quickly.
